Systems Engineer – Operations - Stellar

THE ROLE:
An exciting scope and some of the tasks you’ll be working on: Within Stellar Operations team, the Systems Engineer will handle the following main duties and responsibilities and will contribute to ensuring that Stellar innovative software modules and architecture are meeting the performance, quality, security, and reliability standards required by the different Stellar targeted verticals with focus on automotive and mobility sectors.
Contribute to the effort of analyzing customers and markets’ needs and transcribing them into software architectures and technical requirements.
Perform designs and architecture definition and issue associated documentation for specific software modules, features, and capabilities of Stellar products.
Issue technical requirements for specific software modules and product features.
Build, configure, and deploy new compute, network, storage and specialist security infrastructure, ensuring correct configuration and bring into service in line with software development and system teams.
Resolve high-profile escalations and issues, improve the customer experience, and drive initiatives that increase their likelihood of success on the platform.
Monitoring the health of the network infrastructure, using polling and monitoring and analysis tools.
Manage the health and performance of the environment using observability tools, carrying out maintenance and updates to roll out new features and keep the platform secure.
Participate in a 24/7, on-call rotation for incident response escalation within response and on-site Service Level Agreements (SLA).
Provide highly technical implementation support in customer environments, including guidance on implementation feasibility of cross-product integrations.

YOUR BACKGROUND:
Experience in systems engineering and design.
Experience in system administration tasks in Linux or Unix.
Experience designing, building, and deploying scalable cloud-based solutions.
Knowledgeable around complex switching and routing concepts.
Familiarity with standard IT security practices (e.g., encryption, certificates, key management)
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and resolve project issues.
Expertise in IP networking and integration.
Expertise in 4G/5G terminals/modules and associated integration constraints.
Understanding of network operation constraints and state-of-the-art architectures and platforms.
Capability to occasionally develop shell scripts, Python
