(Senior) Systems Engineer – Networking - Stellar Télécommunications

Within Stellar R&D team, the Senior Systems Engineer will handle the following main duties and responsibilities and will contribute to ensuring that Stellar innovative software modules and architecture are meeting the performance, quality, security, and reliability standards required by the different Stellar targeted verticals with focus on automotive and mobility sectors.
> Contribute to the effort of analyzing customers and markets’ needs and transcribing them into software architectures and technical requirements.
> Perform designs and architecture definition and issue associated documentation for specific software modules, features, and capabilities of Stellar products.
> Issue technical requirements for specific software modules and product features
> Contribute to design tradeoffs and issue justification documents.
> Contribute to documenting operation concepts.
> Contribute to design and documentation of software-hardware integration and scenarios of cloud deployment.
> Define and document subsystem-level tests scenarios and acceptance criteria
> Collaborate with other stakeholders (architecture, data scientists, software development, product, quality, management) to identify issues/risks, perform prioritizations and define schedule and required resources.
> Maintain high-level awareness of technology trends and competitive offerings/developments with focus on software and connectivity for automotive and mobility sectors.
> Maintain high-level of awareness of complementary 3rd party technologies and solutions.
> Continuous analysis and suggestions of possible paths to optimize, enhance and augment the proposed solutions/architectures.

You are expected to have:
> Experience in systems engineering and design.
> Expertise in IP networking and integration.
> Experience in 4G/5G networks, systems architecture, and protocols.
> Expertise in 4G/5G terminals/modules and associated integration constraints.
> Experience in networks and traffic modeling and simulation tools.
> Understanding of network operation constraints and state-of-the-art architectures and platforms.
> Knowledge of Cloud, Linux in the context of IP and 4G/5G networks deployment and terminals integration.
> Experience in designing, simulating, and optimizing networking algorithms.
> Experience in writing system-level and subsystems specifications and interacting with software development teams.
> Knowledge of satellite communications is a plus.
> Capability to occasionally develop shell scripts, Python and as a plus other languages (C/C++).

In this position, you will be reporting to the System Architect and Systems Engineering Lead.
